A bit of "Barb humor"

The old Miami Canal Locks in Lake Harbor
A dead 'gator floating at the left side of the locks
attracts about 50 Buzzards

A Buzzard stands watch

At Billies "Swampfari"
Feeding the 'gators at the airboat landing

Waiting to load up on the airboat

Valerie, Tineke, & Ilse - ready to go

'gators ... 'gators ... "everywhere " !!!

travelin' down the airboat canal

Chowin' down - a group of wild hogs

and back to the dock .....

Our airboat operator ? ............

..... well, "not exactely" ;-)

the girls check out the display cases
at Billies "serpentarium" display

"Gator John" ...
describes to a "volunteer" from the audience
what he's about to place on her shoulders
... eyes closed now ...
;-)

Would you believe ..... this pose was
Tineke's idea !!

Florida has a "few" Croc's too ...
native to the extreme South coastal swamps

Ilse & Valerie - taking a break during a thundershower
before heading out on a "glades buggy" tour

Red Deer (Non-native)

A "typical" Seminole Indian Hunting camp "Chickee"
(from the old days)
But even now, many of the houses and trailer houses on the reservation have a Chickee in the back yard - to maintain their ties to their roots and the land.

"Big John" - the 'gator
~ 15' (5M) long and 65-70 years old
